Tea Infused Simple Syrup

This Tea Infused Simple Syrup is quick and inexpensive to make and perfect for adding to lattes and cocktails!

Equipment

  • electric kettle or sauce pan
  • mason jar with lid or other container

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 2-3 tea bags
  • 2 cups sugar

Instructions
 

  • Bring 2 cups of water to full rolling boil in a kettle or a pan on the stove.
    Remove from the heat and add in 2-3 tea bags. Steep tea for the instructed time (on the tea box), typically around 5 minutes.
    Once the tea has steeped remove the bags from the water.
    Immediately add 2 cups of sugar to the hot water and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. It may take a minute.
    Transfer the simple syrup to a glass storage jar. Put on a lid and store in the fridge for up to one month.
    Add to cocktails, lattes or anything else in need of a sweet twist. Enjoy!

Notes

You can easily half this recipe or double it my simple adjusting the measurements accordingly.
