Ingredients
  

  • 1 9 inch pie crust homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1.25 cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine buttermilk, eggs, lemon juice, vanilla extract and almond extract and whisk together.
  • In a separate mixing bowl combine melted butter with sugar, corn starch, salt and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the butter mixture into the buttermilk and egg mixture and whisk until smooth. Then pour into a 9 inch pie crust.
    Place in the preheated oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes until golden brown with a slightly jiggly center.
    Remove and allow to cool on the counter for about 30 minutes before transferring to the fridge to set completely. Chill for at least an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
