These Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls are an easy, family-friendly recipe perfect for appetizers, snacks, or a quick dinner. Buttery, cheesy, and ready in 15 minutes, they're great for busy nights and pair perfectly with a bowl of soup!

These Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls are my 8-year-old son's favorite recipe on the blog...an opinion that humbles me, considering it's also the easiest. But honestly? I get it. Flaky, buttery, cheesy, and comforting, these rolls come together in minutes and deliver every time.
I've been making a version of these for years, and I'm so excited to finally share them here. They're perfect year-round and GREAT for a busy weeknight. I typically serve them with my Roasted Tomato Basil Soup for a delicious, balanced meal.
This recipe is super easy to double (or triple!) for a crowd, and while I love classic ham and cheddar, you can totally mix it up with your favorite deli meats and cheeses.

Equipment
For this recipe you will need a baking sheet and a cutting board with a sharp knife.
Ingredients
- Crescent rolls: I personally really prefer Annie's Crescent Rolls for this recipe. They have good ingredients and great flavor.
- Deli ham: My favorite meat to use for this recipe is Applegate's Black Forest Ham.
- Dijon mustard: You can also use plain yellow mustard if you prefer.
- Cheese slices: I like using Sargento Cheddar Slices but you can use your favorite brand of cheese.
- Butter: My favorite is Kerrygold Salted Butter.
- Spices: I like to use garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Poppy seeds (optional): These are optional but they add a nice flavor and texture.

Ham & Cheese Crescent Rolls FAQs
Yes! You can assemble the rolls a few hours in advance, cover them tightly, and store them in the fridge until ready to bake. For best results, bake within 12 hours.
Absolutely! I love the classic ham and cheddar combination but you could also do turkey and swiss or roast beef and provolone. The sky is the limit!
Yes. Bake them fully, let them cool, then freeze in a single layer before transferring to a freezer bag. Reheat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through.
They are best served warmed straight out of the oven. If you have any leftover store them in the refrigerator and then reheat ideally in the air fryer, or in the oven. You can microwave them but they come out rather soggy.
