    Recipe FAQs

Is this recipe easily doubled or tripled to feed a crowd?

Absolutely! Simply multiply the ingredients by how many servings you need and follow the rest of the instructions as written.

    Is this recipe gluten free?

This recipe is very simple to make gluten free. Simply make sure that the cornmeal you use to thicken the soup is gluten free or you can skip this step all together. And be sure to select gluten free tortilla chips for the topping.

    Is this soup spicy?

While I would not consider this soup to be super spicy, there is definitely a little kick to it.
If you prefer you can amp up the spice level by adding in few diced jalapenos when you cook the onions and bell pepper.
If you prefer a milder soup you can even replace the diced tomatoes and green chiles with Red Gold Diced Tomatoes (with no added chiles) or reduce the amount of chili powder.

Great recipe!! Easy to follow, simple and quick to make. Everyone loved it. I added lime and sour cream for those who wanted less spice, and more chili powder for those who like spicy. Highly recommend!!
